Why #justiceforatulsubhash is trending reason behind his suicide?
Bengaluru | December 11: A 34-year-old man from Bihar died by suicide at his residence in Bengaluru on Monday. Atul Subhash, who was an engineer at a private firm, left behind a 24-page suicide note in which he accused his wife and her relatives of harassment.
Initial investigations suggest that Subhash had been facing marital issues, and his wife had filed several cases against him in Uttar Pradesh which he discussed at length in a video. Before taking the drastic step, he sent the suicide note via email to several people and shared it in a WhatsApp group associated with an NGO he was part of.
Subhash also recorded a video and shared it on social media before taking the drastic step. Alongside, he wrote, “…A legal genocide of men happening in India currently.”
According to the police, Subhash hung a placard in his house that read “Justice is due”.
Before taking the extreme step, he allegedly pasted important details on a cupboard, including information about his 24-page suicide note, vehicle keys, and a list of tasks he had completed and those still pending.
Subhash, who ended his life in his Bengaluru apartment, said that his wife has filed several cases against him and is in a way responsible for this extreme step.
“My wife has registered nine cases against me. Six cases are in the lower court and three in the high court,” Sharma said in the video he recorded before taking this drastic step.
He stated that one of the cases, filed in 2022 against him, his parents, and his brother, include charges such as murder, dowry harassment, and unnatural sex, among others. However, his wife later withdrew the case.
A senior police officer confirmed that a case of unnatural death has been registered, with charges of abetment filed against Subhash’s wife and her relatives based on a complaint from a neighbor, PTI reported.
The police have launched an in-depth investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

I may have destroyed my body but it has saved everything I believe in.”
