New Delhi | 30 July: Welcome to the mystical world of the disputed subject of Vedic Astrology! Yeah, it’s disputed, and unfortunately among people of our country and culture only. But, to the contrary, when followed by proper rules and regulations, and most importantly, with faith, then, it can turn the negative consequences into positive. So, without getting late, let’s start today’s journey with the lesson of Chandra Mahadasha!

Astrology is the ancient science of finding the influence of celestial bodies and stars on daily life of human beings and getting insights about their physical, mental, emotional and overall life. Astrology has been a guiding force since ages, pertaining to the Hindu culture.

The Moon, often regarded as Chandra in the realm of Vedic Astrology or Jyotish, is one of the most influential and important celestial bodies after Surya and is related with an individual’s emotions, feelings, intuition and thoughts and represents nurturing qualities.

Contrary to the scientific world, the Moon is regarded as a planet in Jyotish, depending upon its influence on human lives.

Talking about Chandra Mahadasha, it is a long period of 10 years where the Moon takes the centre position in one’s birth chart and influences every aspect of life of an individual.

Chandra Mahasdasha can have both positive and negative impacts, as it depends on the placement and strength of Moon in one’s birth chart. But in most cases, the Moon is a benefic planet, but its conjunction with Rahu and Ketu and placement in wrong houses can raise dosha and impact an individual negatively.

As we have quote, “Ant Bhala To Sab Bhala”, hence let’s start with Negative Effects first:-

1.      During this phase, an individual may experience increased emotions which causes extreme sensitivity and frequent mood swings. Take extra care of your girlfriend during this time-period.

2.     During Chandra Mahadasha, a person suffering from it may find it difficult to cultivate their sense of balance and maintain their emotional well-being, hence they need extra care.

3.      Due to emotional imbalance, there may be chances of changing family dynamics and sourness in relations.

4.      An individual can experience mental health problems such as depression, panic attacks, anxiety, stress and suicidal tendencies.

Remedies

  1. Worshiping Lord Shiva and chanting his names, especially on Mondays and full moon days helps to appease the Moon, as he is the ultimate devotee of Lord Shiva.

2.      Wearing a 4-mukhi Rudraksha to pacify its negative impacts.

3.      Try to perform Chandra Shanti Puja.

4. At least for 108 times a day, chant the Chandra mantra “Om Shram Shreem Shraum Sah Chandraya Namah”,as it helps to mitigate the negative impacts.
