Mumbai | December 10 : Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, continued its impressive performance at the box office on Monday, which was a non-holiday. The film’s massive success in the Hindi belt has been a driving factor for its extraordinary collections, particularly in North India’s mass circuits. As per early estimates, the Sukumar-directed action drama earned over ₹45 crore in Hindi on its first Monday, setting a new benchmark for non-holiday releases.
According to Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 showed remarkable consistency on its fifth day, with Hindi collections expected to hit ₹45 crore on December 9. This takes the film’s five-day total in Hindi to over ₹330 crore. If offline screenings perform even better, the numbers may approach ₹50 crore. The film is also on track to become the fastest Hindi movie to cross the ₹300 crore mark, surpassing previous records held by Jawan, Pathaan, and Animal.
Beyond its phenomenal Hindi market performance, Pushpa 2 is holding strong in the Telugu-speaking regions, where it is estimated to have grossed ₹13-14 crore. The film also earned approximately ₹4-5 crore in Karnataka and an additional ₹4-5 crore across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Overall, the film’s first Monday total is projected to be in the range of ₹75-80 crore, a stellar performance according to Sacnilk.
With this massive Monday collection, Pushpa 2 has achieved the biggest non-holiday Monday earnings to date. While Tiger 3 grossed over ₹61 crore on its first Monday, it benefitted from the Eid holiday. In comparison, Pushpa 2 has outperformed major blockbusters like Baahubali 2 (partial holiday) and Gadar 2 (non-holiday) on a regular working day.
