Kolkata | August 15: Is it even an independence when a woman is not safe at her workplace? Is it even an independence when a woman can’t even walk on road at midnight, just leave midnight, she can barely walk on road after 9! Is it even an independence when protestors do not feel safe in the hospital? Is it even an independence when you just can’t think freely? Is it even an independence when you can’t express your opinion freely? We are not boycotting our independence but the question is are we free enough to celebrate this day?
The girl who was raped and murdered at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital might had planned for her celebrations of the independence day but what about her freedom? Was her freedom that inexpensive that anybody can loot it?
Protecting the real culprits is more heinous than the heinous crime that took place at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. She was raped and murdered on duty that too in the seminar hall of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, what can be more shame than this!
The audacity of the idiots is that they vandalised the protesting site that too at the midnight. Audacity is that midnight must be thinking why all crimes is committed in his hours only!
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee instead of finding the culprits is blaming state’s opposition party for vandalising the protesting site.
Mamata Banerjee stated, “The people who vandalised RG Kar Hospital yesterday and created this ruckus are not connected to the student movement of RG Kar Medical College, they are outsiders, I have seen as many videos, I have three videos as I can see, in which some people are holding national flags, they are BJP people, and some are DYFI are holding white and red flags. Yesterday, the police were also attacked…Police were attacked… I would like to congratulate them that they did not lose patience, they did not hurt anyone… Now the case is not in our hands, it is in the hands of CBI, if you have something to say, then tell CBI, we have no objection…”
Again, TMC leader and CM Mamata slammed Congress, her ally in INDIA bloc (from outside) ffor questioning government’s practice to safeguard the culprits.
Rahul Gandhi has alleged that culprits are hide in the protection of government.
On August 9, the heinous crime took place where the post-graduate trainee doctor was found dead in the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
The question is: Has independence and humanity died in this nation? Is politicisation of such sensitive issues is necessary? How long girls will have to bear this? How long? The question remains how long!
