In a post written to X on Tamil, AIADMK leader Edapaddi K Paliniswami said, I was shocked to hear the news that the death toll has risen to 29 in Kallakurichi. As the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly convenes today, as per tradition, condolence resolutions will be read and passed for many including the deceased former members. Condolences on behalf of the deceased @AIADMKOfficial . But in this context, the main thing is to personally meet the families of those who lost their lives due to the total administrative failure and indolence of the DMK government and share in their unspeakable grief. More deaths followed keep going, I convey my deepest condolences and sorrows to the bereaved families and pray to God for the speedy recovery of those undergoing treatment in the hospital. Kallakurichi is now rushing to meet the families of those who died due to counterfeiting and those receiving treatment in the hospital!”
