How to apply for ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’? Delhi govt financial assistance scheme for women

New Delhi | December 13: Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government has announced a new scheme for women of the national capital. This scheme is called ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’. Under this scheme, the eligible women will get monthly assistance of Rs 1000.

This announcement was made by party supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday. He stated that the Delhi government cabinet has approved the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, under which eligible women of the national capital will be given Rs 1000 every month, starting from Thursday. Rs 1,000 will be directly transferred to every eligible woman above the age of 18.

Moreover, the party chief Kejriwal affirmed that the amount will be doubled to Rs 2100 if the party regains the power in Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail the benefit of this scheme, one should be above the age of 18 years and the resident of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi with a valid Voter ID Card as of December 12, 2024.

The Delhi government have said that Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana will have an annual allocation of Rs 4,560 crore.

Some other criterion:-

To qualify for the scheme, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Delhi and at least 18 years old.
The family’s annual income should not be more than Rs 3 lakh.
Applicants must not be availing benefits from any other Delhi government scheme and should neither be government employees nor taxpayers.
Individuals receiving government pensions are also ineligible.
Additionally, the applicant must provide an Aadhaar card and voter ID as part of the application process.

How to avail the benefit?

One can avail the benefit of this scheme by registering online on the portal of the Delhi government. The following documents are necessary for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana: Aadhaar card, Voter ID, PAN card, bank account details, proof of address, proof of age, income certificate, and a self-declaration form.

To register for the scheme online, applicants can download the application form from the official Delhi government website. Once the form is filled out and all required documents are attached, it should be submitted to the nearest Delhi government office. – An insurance cover of up to Rs 10 lakh for all auto-rickshaw drivers.

– An annual allowance of Rs 2,500 for auto-rickshaw drivers’ uniforms.

– Plans to consider providing coaching classes for the children of auto drivers.

– The relaunch of the *Poochho App* has also been announced.
