Rohan Mirchandani, co-founder of Epigamia, a leading Greek yogurt brand in India, died on December 21 at the age of 42 due to cardiac arrest. The news was confirmed by an official statement from Drums Food International, the parent company of Epigamia.

The Death of the visionary co-founder of Epigamia, Rohan Mirchandani’s sudden loss has left the young business and start-up community in shock. The entrepreneur had started Drums Food International — the parent of the healthy snacks brand in 2013. Here are the details of his and Epigamia’s net worth.

Mirchandani, an alumnus of NYU Stern and The Wharton School, founded Drums Food International in 2013. Under his visionary leadership, the company transformed from Hoki Poki ice cream into the beloved brand Epigamia. Today, Epigamia has become a household name, renowned for its yogurt and other dairy products. Headquartered in Mumbai, the brand offers a wide variety of products, including yogurt, curd, beverages, milkshakes, smoothies, kheer, and Mishti Doi.

“His unwavering commitment, boundless energy, and deep passion for Epigamia have left an indelible mark on all of us. Mirchandani’s passing adds to a series of tragic losses within the startup ecosystem in recent months including the death of Rohan Malhotra, co-founder and managing partner of early-stage venture capital firm Good Capital, on October 1 this year and Ambareesh Murty, the 51-year-old co-founder of online furniture store Pepperfry, who also died of a cardiac arrest.
Managing Director and CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund Radhika Gupta, voiced her concern on Sunday over the alarming increase in heart attacks and stress-related illnesses affecting people in their 40s and 50s. “It is heartbreaking to see stories of so many folks I know losing their lives in their 40s and 50s to heart attacks and stress-related ailments,” Gupta expressed in a tweet. “It makes you question a lot of things.”

Epigamia products do not have any artificial colours or preservatives and are made of real fruit pulp, the company says on its website.
