Mumbai | 26 July: The actress, who is eagerly awaiting the release of one of the biggest films of her career, says that her life philosophy is as uncomplicated as her style mantra.
Disha Patani was born on June 13, 1992, in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India. She comes from a Hindu Rajput family. Her father, Jagadish Singh Patani, is a police officer, and her mother is a health inspector. Her elder sister, Khushboo Patani, is a lieutenant in the Indian Army, and she also has a younger brother named Suryansh Patani. Disha left her engineering studies in the second year at Amity University, Lucknow. She was the first runner up of Pond’s Femina Miss India Indore 2013.
Talking about her interest in film films during her school days, Disha says-
In film industry I do not have many inspirations as I was not into films at all during my school days. I used to watch only those films which my father used to take us each weekend which stopped when my younger brother was born. My dad is a film buff and watches all the films. But I can consider that Anarkali’s character in “Mughal-e-Azam” was something that touched me and sometimes I used to watch that film four-five times in a day because of my father!
The Bareilly girl began her Bollywood journey with a bang, landing a supporting role in “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story” (2016). It wasn’t long before the tall, lean actress caught everyone’s attention. Since then, she has experienced her share of highs (Baaghi 2, Malang) and lows (Radhe, Ek Villain Returns, Yodha). 2024 might just be the year she’s been waiting for. Later this month, Patani is set to achieve the biggest win of her career with the release of the sci-fi action drama “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone. Her Tamil-language debut film, “Kanguva,” with Surya, is also slated for release later this year.
