Business Tycoon clinched victory from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat

Kurukshetra | June 5:  Bharatiya Janata Party workers expressed their joy and celebrated enthusiastically after party candidate Naveen Jindal won from the Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency in Haryana, on Tuesday.

Naveen Jindal, in an interview with a renowned agency, said, “We’ve got a very good mandate from the public of Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency and I am grateful for their support. I am also grateful for the faith they had shown in me and the party.”

He further thanked party’s top leadership and various leaders such as Haryana’s CM Nayab Singh Saini, former CM of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar and former MLA of Ladwa, Pawan Saini and their constant guidance played a key role in his victory on the seat.

He further gave credit for his victory to the party workers.

According to the data of Election Commission of India, Naveen Jindal, a member from the Bharatiya Janata Party has won the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat with a margin of 29,021 votes. He was facing a major playhold from Sushil Gupta of Aam Aadmi Party. Overall, Naveen Jindal acquired 5,42,175 votes whereas Sushil Gupta acquired 5,13,154 votes.

Naveen Jindal is an Indian industrialist, philanthropist, and former Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Kurukshetra, Haryana in the 14th and 15th Lok Sabha. He currently serves as the Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited and Chancellor of O. P. Jindal Global University.

Kurukshetra is one of the 10 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Haryana state in India which covers the entire Kurukshetra and Kaithal districts and part of Yamunanagar district.

Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat was initially Kaithal Lok Sabha seat and till 1977 its headquarters was also Kaithal. Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat came into existence in 1977. 

In Haryana Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party won five seats and the Indian National Congress won other five seats.

The final count for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections has been ended with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing a total of 240 seats while the opposition party Congress garnered 99 seats.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has secured a third term, but they are relied on the support of his coalition parties such as Janata Dal United (JDU) and Telugu Desham Party (TDP).
