Amit Shah takes charge as Home Minister in Modi 3.0 Cabinet

New Delhi | June 11: Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union Cabinet Minister Amit Shah takes charge as a Minister of Internal Affairs (Home Minister) in the newly elected  Modi 3.0 government on Tuesday.

He asserted that the new Modi government will make proper efforts for the country’s “security to the next level and build Bharat as a bulwark against terrorism, insurgency, and naxalism.”

In a post to X, Home Minister Amit Shah wrote in Hindi, “Today I have again taken charge as the Home Minister of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi  ji. The Home Ministry will continue to work committedly for the security of the country and the countrymen. In Modi 3.0, the country’s security policies and efforts will reach new heights and India will emerge as a strong force against terrorism and Naxalism”

Furthermore, adding to the statement, in a post embedded by a picture, Shah wrote, “Under the stewardship of PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, I reassumed charge of the Ministry of Home Affairs today. The MHA will remain committed to the security of the nation and its people, as it always has been. Modi 3.0 will take its efforts for India’s security to the next level and build Bharat as a bulwark against terrorism, insurgency, and naxalism.”

The Home Minister Amit Shah assumed office after paying floral tributes at the National Police Memorial in memory of India’s police personnel who lost their live while saving the nation.

If Amit Shah completes his term for next consecutive five years, then he will get the tag of longest serving Prime Minister of the nation. Congress party leader Govind Ballabh Pant and Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lal Krishna Advani has spent their Home Ministership for consecutive six years.
