Swati Maliwal ex-husband to contest Haryana Rajya Sabha elections
Rohtak (Haryana) | July 7: Jai Hind Sena Chief and former state president of Aam Aadmi Party of Haryana, Naveen Jaihind on Sunday announced to contest Haryana Rajya Sabha elections and appealed the opposition to extend their support to him.
The announcement came after he held a meeting with his party workers.
Naveen Jaihind also sought support from opposition leaders Bhupendra Hooda, Dushyant Chautala, Abhay Chautala and independent MLAs.
Jai Hind Sena Chief Naveen Jaihind said that he has fought the battle of the common people on the streets against the current BJP government. The opposition was not seen on the streets on any issue. The same common people have called for contesting the Rajya Sabha elections. Therefore, he has decided to contest the elections.
He further stated that he will meet Congress opposition leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda, former deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala, INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala and all independent MLAs and seek their support.
He said that Bhupendra Singh Hooda has already said that the Congress party does not have the numbers. That is why he is not contesting the Rajya Sabha elections. The other opposition parties are making statements against each other for fielding Rajya Sabha candidates. Victory and defeat do not matter to them, the job of a warrior is to fight the war.
