Modi 3.0: Kiren Rijiju takes charge as Minister of Parliamentary Affairs

New Delhi | June 11:  Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Member of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh, Dr Kiren Rijiju took charge as a Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in the historic third term of Modi 3.0 government.

He was accompanied by Minister of State Arjun Ram Meghwal and L Murugan along with other top officers of the ministry.

After taking charge, in a post to X (formerly Twitter), Kiren Rijiju wrote, “With deep gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility, I am honoured to share that under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji, I have assumed the role of Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in New Delhi along with my colleagues Shri @arjunrammeghwal ji & Shri @Murugan_MoS ji. Serving our incredible nation in this capacity is a privilege & I am dedicated to contributing to it’s progress @mpa_india.

Meanwhile, he also took charge as Minister of Minority Affairs. He also said, “After taking charge as the Minister of Minority Affairs, I had 1st briefing session with the officers and also interacted with young beneficiaries under various welfare schemes of the Ministry.”

Kiren Rijiju is one of the veteran leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party who represents the state of Arunachal Pradesh. He represents Arunachal Pradesh West seat out of the total two seats of the state.

In 2024 general elections, Bharatiya Janata Party won both the seats in Arunachal Pradesh.

In the first term of the Narendra Modi government, he was the Union Minister of State in Home Affairs from May 2014 to May 2019.
