New York | June 10: In a historic clash in the World Cup T20 India versus Pakistan match, India defeated its all-time rival Pakistan by 6 runs. On Sunday, while targeting a major low 120 runs against India at the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 match, Pakistan could not finish the target and lost the match by six runs.
From Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan single-handedly made 31 runs, while others could not cross the mark of 15 runs. Pakistan could hardly manage to score 113 runs after losing seven wickets in 20 overs.
Jasprit Bumrah, the saver of ICT (Indian Cricket) fans, picked up important three wickets for India, while Hardik Pandya sent two batters to the pavilion. The ballers Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh picked up one wicket each.
Initially, the match was delayed due to rains, the reason why Indian batters could not score big scores against Pakistan and were bundled for 119 runs in 19 overs.
Apart from Rishabh Pant, no other Indian batter crossed the mark of 40 runs while at the same time, Pakistani ballers dominated the match. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah took 3 wickets each, while Mohammad Amir and Shaheen Shah Afridi took two and one wickets, respectively.
Earlier, during a toss, Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and opted to field against Rohit Sharma-lead Team India in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at New York’s Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Both teams played their second group tournament match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York from 8 pm (IST).
