Kolkata | September 2: Hey peeps! It’s almost two months of the heinous crime that took place at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and what’s is the result we have? Delayed justice and heavy politicization of the issue. It looks like the matter has been diverted from the real problems, indeed, as our politicians, the law-makers aren’t demanding justice, rather, they are more focused on the Prime Minister’s reply to one letter while others are focused towards Chief Minister’s resignation.
It’s the sad truth that our country has to bear. Actually, its not the nation who has to bear the burden but its women of the uprising nation. The safety of women has always been a real-time issue but somehow, we, the women of society failed to convey our needs to leaders of this country. The sad part is we have to convey this because as far as it is concerned, there should be no such concept of “women’s safety” because, it wasn’t a thing that existed earlier. We really never heard the concept of “men’s safety”, is it?
The question is how far we have come in this journey of globalization and modernization that we have to bear atrocious nature of “some lusty men”. The world don’t know how to respect women. Why women been the subject of exploitation for men, always? How long we have to suffer it?
This is not just about Abhaya or Nirbhaya. All women are frightened that they can become the next Abhaya. Still, this article won’t help as long as we have politicians with malicious mindset.
