Prayagraj | August 3: Following his bizarre, shocking and awful actions, Gulzar Sheikh, a YouTuber known has been arrested for his hazardous stunts on railway tracks which could have potentially invited major man-made disasters, leading to loss of several lives.
Gulzar Sheikh was apprehended after a complaint was lodged by the Legal Hindu Defence for endangering various lives.
Sheikh used to place objects like bicycles, soap bars, and stones on tracks.
Sheikh used to do this for his YouTube channel “Gulzar Indian Hacker,” where he often depicted placing dangerous items on railway tracks. Despite several warnings from the platform to not to replicate the stunts, he carried on his acts. His actions were widely criticized.
On receiving the information, acting swiftly on the incident, Railway Police Force (RPF) from the Lucknow division arrested the accused YouTuber. Sheikh was apprehended at his home in Khandrauli in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on through a social media post on X, called the accused as a “Rail Jihadi’.
Poonawalla thanked UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UP Police, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and others for their prompt actions in addressing this issue. Sheikh faces charges under several sections of the Railway Act and the Indian Penal Code, reflecting the serious nature of his offenses.
Sheikh’s YouTube channel, “Gulzar Indian Hacker,” has over 235,000 subscribers and 137 million views, features content that has continuously posed risks to public safety. This arrest highlights the ongoing concerns regarding dangerous content on social media platforms and the actions taken by authorities to prevent potential disasters.
