New Delhi | August 4: In a tragic incident, a son killed his own father by stabbing him in his stomach after he felt betrayed by him in the New Ashok Nagar area of the capital city of Delhi on Saturday.
Police has arrested, Mahesh Thakur, the accused in this crime.
The deceased has been identified as Gautam Thakur (70), son of Lt. Kailash Thakur, a retired employee of MTNL. He was found lying on the bed with the stabbing wounds on stomach, below the ribcage.
As per the reports, Mahesh Thakur himself called the police and informed them about the crime but with different angle. He called the police and said that he saw two unknown men who attacked his father with a sharp object, leaving him dead.
The police officials of New Ashok Nagar police station received this information at around 8.40 am in the morning and as soon as they received the information, they arrived at the site and sent the body for further medical procedures.
Mahesh reported that he heard some noise from his father’s room and saw two unknown men exiting from his father’s room. He said that he tried to stop them by attacking but ended up being hurt in the left hand and they managed to flee.
But, in reality, Mahesh himself murdered his father in grief and feeling betrayed, as, his father has given all the money to his elder son and not anything to Mahesh (younger son). His father was also planning to sell the house in which they were living. Feeling betrayed and jealous, Mahesh killed his father when everyone in the family was sleeping.
He revealed this all information while interrogation.
